Terms of Service
Last updated: September 1, 2026
These terms govern your access to and use of PaintMargin. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.
The service
PaintMargin provides tools that help painting professionals organize job scope, prepare estimates, review margins, and create proposals. Features may change as the product is developed and validated.
Your account
You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.
Your content
You retain ownership of information and content you submit. You grant PaintMargin the limited rights needed to host, process, back up, and display that content solely to operate and improve the service.
Estimates and professional responsibility
PaintMargin is an estimating aid, not accounting, legal, tax, engineering, or professional advice. You remain responsible for verifying measurements, scope, rates, costs, taxes, contract terms, and final customer pricing before sending or accepting a proposal.
AI-assisted features
AI-generated transcripts, room scope, questions, and wording may be incomplete or incorrect. You must review AI-assisted output before relying on it. PaintMargin does not set your customer price.
Acceptable use
You may not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with its operation, upload unlawful content, infringe others' rights, or use automated methods to abuse service limits.
Availability
The service may be modified, interrupted, or unavailable, particularly during the validation stage. We may suspend access when reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, or prevention of abuse.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. PaintMargin does not guarantee that estimates, AI output, or customer outcomes will be accurate or complete. To the extent permitted by law, PaintMargin is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the service.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service develops. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
